U should be thankful for a PoP Queen finally worthy of all POP Royalty. She is avant garde and a kundundrum but it's refreshing to see a DIVA be a DIVA with talent and interest. Did I mention she has talent?
Most of our POP stars are too Vanilla with their public persona and lack talent. GaGa is clearly not one of them and if she wants to entertain herself by dressing up a Barbie to inspire herself let her in peace. Sure most peeps there noticed her and wanted to speak with her.
She is FANTABULOUS and shouldn't be taken too serioulsy. Once you do that the GaGa experience is over for you. PoP Music and artists really shouldn't be taken that seriously. They are here to entertain, get it?

Fav snack
I think I'm going to try the hummus. My girlfriend has been nagging me to try it, because "all the cool people eat it". But my fav healthy snack is a simple apple cut up with peanut butter. Filling, crunchy and sweet, which is one better than yours in my opinion. Keep up the good work!

I have a Wii and love it! I'd recommend trying one first just to make sure you like it. I wasn't that into the idea of forking out that much money for one until a friend let me use theirs, and I was hooked.
Also, one of my friends just embarked on a weight loss journey about 6 months ago. His name is Mike Campbell and his blog is at www.fatguydiary.com. He lives in Charleston and has not only lost weight, he's greatly improved his health over the past few months.

Well hello again Kelly, I was so close to winning that Ipod i was 1 point off.. wow.. Anyways.. I am writting you to ask. Do you have proublems with your leggs at night. I too have sleep Apnea and I have problems sleeping due to always feeling like ants are crawling on my leggs or I just can "get to sleep". I have been this way for many years. I also was told by the Doctor that I had Sleep Apnea so his suggestion was to get on "Requip" He started me out with 0.5 MG and I take 1 pill in mornings and then 2 at night.. as soon as I take the 2 at bedtime it's not even 3 yawns and I am out like a light. It's not like you couldn't wake up if you needed to incase of Fire or what knot, But it does put you in a deep sleep and you sleep soundly. I don't know WHAT I ever did before getting on requip.. it's surly has gave me some nice sleep.. I would get about 3-4 hours a day.. and I always felt very tired. now I am Up at 6Am and I feel Awsome ~.. Talk to your Doctor about you tryin requip you may find you enjoy sleeping again and leave the Crow's to there own :)

Help with snoring
I realize I should be sending this to you on your work email, but I am reading your blog about your weight loss and saw your post on sleep apnea. This is something my husband has struggled with for years. He, too, got fitted for a mask and wore it for about a year and a half before he decided it made him feel too bloated. Anyway, we discovered a small cheap alternative that works great. It's a small clip you wear in your nose at night called SnoreEclipse. It costs about $15 at any drugstore and puts pressure on your septum. It is amazing - we both wear ours every night now. He still snores lightly, but nothing like the chainsaw he used to be.
I'm sure you get lots of emails like these. If you decide to check it out, I'm hopeful that it works for you as well as it does for us!
Good job on the weight loss! I lost 30 pounds on weight watchers 2 years ago and am holding steady now! Go Kelly, Go!

Help with sleep masks
"I had the same issues you did with wearing the mask when I first started using it. I am actually very claustrophobic so it was hard to calm myself down and make my brain believe that I wasn't going to suffocate. I see Dr. Bogan and he gave me a month of Ambien at the lowest dose and that helped me to sleep and not care that the mask was on. By the end of that month, I no longer needed the Ambien and could sleep with it. Now I can't sleep without it. I also found that the type of mask and headgear make a difference too. I have a gel mask and found that the one with a strap that goes around my forehead and one that goes around my head even with the nose works best and I have it snug on there so it doesn't slip. I tried several masks and even nasal pillows before I found the mask that was best for me. Give it another try. You will feel better the next day...more energized...when you get your apnea under control."

Is Miley Cyrus really that innocent?
Ok I know alot of people are defending Miley Cyrus about the whole Vanity Fair pic and her so called 'innocent' pics that were posted online but, come on, open your eyes people! She declares she doesn't believe in pre-marital sex and yet she has a 20 year old bf? No offense to guys but teenage boys are already sex crazed, and compare that to a grown man! I've asked around and the unanimous agreement is that a 20 year old man dating a 16 year old girl is looking for one thing... (Uh hello!) She wants to move into her own place so her bf can come over more often. If they're really that innocent, then why would she want her own place where her parents aren't around? If she wants more time with him, it's called a date! The clothes she wears sometimes has me clicking the x button. If she wants to dress like that, ok but she wears that skimpy stuff at her concerts and there are young girls there who look up to her as a role model(don't know why) and most likely they'll want to ammulate her by dressing the same. She says she wants to be a role model but as what? Please Miley, if you plan to lead young girls, don't lead them straight into a life where they'll be looked at as an easy lay. Being famous, things you do and wear are expected. But real life for these girls is just going to put them in a light that is both wrong and sad. So I think either she cleans up her act or stops aiming her fame towards the young. Whether it's intentional or not, for goodness sakes, she's 16! She should stop trying to grow up so fast. Slow it down, your time will come when people actually look at you as an adult intead of the image you're presenting... slutty.

I confess I read Nash Trash frequently and laugh at the goofy celebs and their antics. LAY OFF KELLY CLARKSON's looks!!!! For one, she's an incredibly talented singer... and most of all she looks like a real person... neither super hot(photo shopped) not ugly (caught by paparazzi yelling threats and obscenities) she's just herself...obviously any company that chose her as a spokesperson knows what she looks like. I will continue to buy music from talented singers, that I choose by LISTENING to their music... otherwise I think we can all agree that there would only be about 5 artists left... and a few of them can't sing.... I'm also questioning whether today's media gives an equal opportunity for fat/ugly jokes when it comes to males... you know the bald, overweight, not-so-good-looking ones that have chosen a career in the public eye?

I love 104.7! It's the only radio station that I like because for one, other radio stations have just one type of music that they play but 104.7 has a variety of songs and not just one type. I listen to it everyday while i'm doing my homework and even sing along. I just want to say I love 104.7. =)

Thanks for posting the story about Beyonce uncalled for diva like behavior at the inguaration. It was only 4 blocks and both laura and michelle was wearing heels!! during the parade. That was not cool!! how ungrateful she should have been honored that was even invited to the historic event. wake up people beyonce is a BITCH I will no longer apallad her diva like behavior it is not cute. As famous as she is you would think she would have more class than she does. She is self-centered and erogant, should not be consider a role model. She needs to find some class and self-respect to go along with you over -exploited talent - and career. It almost as if she has to make headlines for rude behavior for instance back in 2008 when she performed I believe it was India or somewhere in the middleast. She did want to cooparte with putting more clohtes on than what she did. Because how she was dressed was against there culture. I look forward to seeing more headling about beyonce for what she really is ( Bald, lace-front- yo-yo dieting- over exposed career). I use to be all on the beyonce bandwagon and is materlistic as they come and even I can see through all the proganda . Her Phyical attributes overshawdows her true talent. there are people in the industry that are just as talent but dont get the publicity because she and her father expoits her career through looking like a whore!!!

Okay, let me start off by saying that I actually like ol' Posh. However, what exactly in that outfit took her an hour to put on? It's a buttoned up leather jacket, hose, and a dress. The only way it would take me an hour to put that on is if I tried to squeeze my size (not saying) body into that size 00. (It takes longer than you think to coat yourself in vaseline) Is anyone thinking that maybe she's an alien and it takes that long to disguise her large head and tentacles?

Haters vs Trash
I've always thought most peeps in the Carolinas have very little or no taste at all. Boiled meat and overly salted potatos....ewwww to the tenth degree. And your trash says it very loud there has been no change.

I am super excited that there is a new morning show in town! I had gotten so sick of listening to the Morning Rush that I hadn't turned it to WNOK in weeks. When I finally deciced to listen last week I was pleasantly surprised to find Ace and TJ on the radio. I think they are great. FINALLY a morning show that doesn't bore me or make me so mad I have to turn the channel to keep my blood pressure from rising. I grew up listening to Jonathan Rush and that was great, but CHANGE is GOOD!!!!!!!

Not Happy!!!
Kelli I enjoyed listening to Johnathan and yourself in the monings. I just want to know who thought these goobers they have on in the morning were better than you and Johnathan. So far they have made me laugh maybe one time. Yesterday morning I thought it was going to take forever for one of the 20 people on the show to finish their story. Then they had to add country music to it every other word. What is going on? Why do you take a good morning show that has been voted the best by LOCAL peoplewho listen to the LOCAL channel and put people on the air that do not talk about anything going on here. Their "commercial" about Bras across Columbia is going to get old quick. I doubt very seriously that you will have the turn out for this function as you have had in the past. Johnathan and yourself were the ones who motivated people to help. The other people will not... especialy if we have to go to the web site to find out information all the time. You have to tell them while they are there listening. Most people will forget to check the web page and then it will all be over and no one will show up!!!Who ever made this decision may need to rethink it. Why did they send Johnathan to WCOS? Send these other people to WCOS. Bring Johnathan back. He was wonderful where he was. So what if he has made people mad or actually made them think about a few things going on in the world. He is pretty much on the mark in my book. Getting off of my soap box now. Kelli not fussing at you but had to get this off of my chest. You and Johnathan were good together. They made a huge mistake moving him. Things will never be as good as they were with the 2 of you in the morning. Good luck. We just lost one of our good buddies!! BAD MOVE WNOK!!!
I have been a listener of the WNOK for over 20 yearsand feel I've been thrown a screw ball--literally!! I grew up with Jonathan in the morning understandingThe comments he made were sometimes off the wall, but hey---thats his style. Kelly was an enlightening refresshment to the RUSH 3 years ago and I so enjoyed my Friday Radio BLAST!! This mess of syndicated show that is now on has made me delete 104.7 from my dial. If I wanted talk radio...I will go to AM. BAD MOVE CLEAR CHANNEL! In effort to cut corners you very well may have cut a large majority of your listening population. I have 4 children that will soon have distant memories of that channel that use to play good music and local new and info.

Alrighty then, today I heard Kelly Nash announce that there would be a juicy story about who Britney Spears was in Las Vegas with. I came to wnok.com and there is no longer a direct link to Nash Trash on the home page like there used to be??

HI, I consider myself a very openminded gal. (Not that open if you were thinking of anything that should go in the trash column.) I was willing to give the new show a chance before I cast judgment. Now it is time to judge---I DON'T LIKE IT. I tried to sit though the jokes to nowhere and the dead air ( I guess giving us time to laugh at all the "funny" talk.) It was horrible. The last straw was when they began talking about East Carolina. Before "the change" I would listen to wnok to hear Kelly and Rush and switch to B106.7 for the news. My job does not allow me to listen to the radio while I work, so I can only listen during my drive. Well as of tomorrow I will only listen to B106.7. Thanks for making that decision easy! i really wish johnathan would have stayed with wnok. i am very disappointed about him leaving. i listed to the show this morning with the new what's their faces and it wasnt one bit funny! now i am going to have to start listening to freakin country music in the morning so i can have a decent morning show to listen to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! god it makes me so sick! wnok will be a country station before long because everytime one of those new dj's said something they thought was funny they added in background music and most of it was country! i bet wnok will lose a lot of morning listeners now! that will be their just dessert!

My children and grandchildren say I'm to old to be listen to the music here that I need to be listening to 70's and 80's I tell them I do but I like 104 just as well. Give it a chance
For the past 3 years I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to Jonathan and Kelly on my morning commute. The fact that the show has been on for so many years is a testament to the shows quality of entertainment. However, I was a huge fan of the Ace & TJ show when it aired a few years ago on another local channel. I was furious, like so many of you, that I couldn't hear their show when they were taken off the air and the station changed to a country format. That is when I started listening to "The Morning Rush". I would have missed so much enjoyment had I not given a new show a chance. I will truely miss Jonathan and wish him the best of luck with his new show, and will miss hearing the banter between him and Kelly. My point being that if you will all just give Ace & TJ a chance I'm sure you will find their show to be great, as well. They are not only outragiously funny but do alot of good things too. Their "Grin Kids" charity is awsome. They do so much to help these children and are a true blessing for doing so. I hate to see Jonathan leave the station but also welcome Ace & TJ back to the area. It's understandable that alot of you are upset by this change. Change is always hard and usually unwelcome, but those of you who chose not to give something new a chance will be missing so much. Open your minds and accept what you cannot change. I promise you will be glad you did!! Sorry to see "The Morning Rush" go.....Welcome Ace & TJ!!

DENISE AND JONATHAN, WTF
I'm not an irregular Morning Rush fan. I stopped listening to morning radio habitually when I got a CD player and an MP3 player. I prefer music.
Seriously, it's about time for him to go and for something new to come to Columbia. It's not shocking they had to pull from Charlotte. I'm sure this won't last long, South Cackalackiennes generally don't get smart funny or funny period. Too uptight, conservative, tunnel vision, and we still are a good ole boy stay..some have had to go underground but they are still here.
Now to Denise...I don't completely get the dislike people have for her. I watched her show and so what if she has a potty mouth...this doesn't show she's not a good mom. It just shows what she prolly turned into while married to Charlie Sheen.
I'm sure anyone who gets involved with this Fruitcake loses some tack. But seriously, they're just bad words. It's not like putting down the mother of your children profusely thru the media like he has. Also I think she is way more entertaining than the Kardashians, Big Brother, Survivor Island, and any other crap reality show out ther. I think she was completley who she is on her show.
Charlie Sheen is clearly an arrogant, ego driven, tool of a little boy in a man's body. I used to like him and thought he got a bad rap for his behavior but now I'm thinking he's a complete fruitcake.

I am very sad to see Jonathan make the move next week. I believe that Jonathan and Kelley make a great pair! And for those people who said that they thought Johnathan was full of himself and that he was his own #1 fan have never met him. I met Johnathan YEARS ago while I was working at a movie store and he and his wife came in. You couldn't ask for a friendlier person!! I have listened to WNOK so long I still have a Rush Irregular card that used to be given out! I will miss you alot Jonathan!!! NO ONE can fill your shoes!

I go away on vacation and when I get back I find you trashing Kyra Sedwick. I like her and her show and having Kevin Bacon as a husband is definetly a plus! Thank Youuuuuuuu.
As for the dress that was kicked out of the mall, I have seen shorter skirts worn at school. Not only by students, but by teachers as well. The shirt that shocked me (and it is difficult to shock me) was worn by a parent to school this week. " I am not shy. I am just a BITCH!" Does anyone else have a problem with this or is it just me? We wonder why our children are screwed up!

Further clarification needed
1) The foot print fireworks did NOT occur on Television. That was a computer animation that the story you referenced clearly states. It was used to make them appear technologically superior then they really are.
2) What Jonathan said was if the Chinese lost in gymnastics they'd be sent to a sweat shop. BTW he's not a news commentator, He was using exageration for comical purposes. And I do remember both Jonathan and Kelly mocking Sharon Stone for ignorent comment. If you went back a few pages on the Trash blog I'm sure you'd fing some of that very mockage But the Chinese human rights violations against children is one of the worst on the planet. 3) It may be a fact as you put it that Asian people look young. But it's also a fact that the gymnists in question had their birth records destroyed after questions were raised by the Americans, last year. The reason the questions were raised is all the promotional material had these girls listed as 12 and 13 years old, and suddenly they were being put in the olympics. The Chinese governement issued passports that say they're 16 and no one is to question that.
4) I don't know anyone who has ever brushed off any olympic violence. And I don't think Western media is focusing one the one murder that happened at the Chinese games. I have heard very little of it mentioned, but rather what a great job they have done hosting. For you to say the American media portrays life as perfect in the west is insane. Our media is filled with stories of how bad we are. We're responsible for everything from global warming to school shootings. We are a self loathing media that props up European & just about any other civilized culture as better than ours.
5) Again the world has given much props to the people who put on an incredible show. The beef isn't with the people of China but rather their leaders who hope that by putting on a perfect face the world will forget how evil they really are. Now it's just comical how far they go to look perfect.
6) If telling the 7 year old girl she wasn't pretty enough to sing is the only thing China has done wrong then you ought to move back there. Most Americans are disgusted by their slaughter of approxiamtly 2000 civilians at Tiananmen Square. Their persecution of any religous activity. The poor people of the Falun Gong religion who were sent to labor camps and then used as an organ farm is one of the grossest things I've ever read. The "Chinese Aparitheid" in Tibet which killed over one million Tibetans, and then moved 6 million Chinese there to basically rule over the surviving Tibetans who are now minorities. And don't forget their assistance to the governenment of the Sudan in their genocide of the people in Darfur. I mean that's just some of the things I, and most westerners have a problem with China for. We can actually get over the 7 year old girl being sent home thing by comparison. I'm not attacking you as your comment suggested people would rather clarifying.

I just want to clarify a few things you said about the 2008 Olympics.

2. Please do not make a comment that the Chinese Olympic gymnast were taken out of sweat shops. You comment is on par with Sharon Stone's China earthquake being Karma.
3. It is a known fact that Asian people are known for looking young by American standards. It does not mean they are lying. It just means we need to adjust our standard when viewing Asians. I am 27 and look 17, but it doesn't mean I lie about my age.
4. The western media focused one stupid Chinese guy who stabbed an Americans. All the while it portraits America and Western culture as prefect. Last I check there were bombing in Atlanta and Barcelona, with a massacre in Munich. That part is just brushed off as saying it is the wrong doing of one person/group instead of the country as a whole.
5. There are plenty of people who gave up their life for the opening ceremony. http://www.china.org.cn/olympics/news/2008-08/13/content_16210345.htm why don't you comment on how much dedication they had just so that you can have a great Friday night show.
6. I will admit that what they did with the 7 year old is plain wrong. I, as a Chinese American, am ashamed that. But so far, that is the only thing I think China did wrong.

toughen up America
It may be that I am military, and that we tend to be a little more.... how do you say nicely..... crass? However, I think America in its quest to become politically correct and make everybody feel better about themselves we have started to erode the toughness that made America possible to begin with.
For example.... the "F-word" I have found that alot of people are offended by this word, and the word alone... not the meaning behind it. I once asked a person. Why is it offensive for you to hear the "F-Bomb" He told me because "God finds it offensive". I am not a religious nut but here is my spin on that. GOD DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH!!!! That would be worse than me speaking Chimpanzee. We are talking about the supreme being of whatever religion you are worrying about a word? Get a grip.
I asked him "hypothetically speaking lets say you wake up in the middle of the night because you have to relieve yourself... so you attempt to navigate yourself to the latrine and stub your toe in the dark. Is it any more offensive to exclaim the F-bomb or to yelp out a solid 'ouch'". The point being that its not the words that offend what ever god you worship... its the feelings behind it.
Much goes the same for the "fat princess" everyone says we need to teach our children about the negative aspects of eating poorly but when a game comes out ( an excellent medium for teaching children) that address the fact that fattie cakes, snakie pies and candy will turn you into an obese person... the fem-Nazi's get all bent out shape.
The same people that get so offended about saying "fat" or whatever other slang there is are the same people who refuse to get offended about the important stuff in life... For example they are typically speaking the liberal jerks that actively protest the war on terror. But I digress.

Hey I don't mind reading your sometimes ridiculous rants but the one about Kyra Sedwick is just that... A RANT. If you watched the show you would know it's one of the best shows on TV. She hasn't done much except be married to HOT Kevin Bacon. Don't you think they were stressing the CLOSER part and not just her? It's possible.

Ryan Seacrest Attacked by Satanic Loan Sharks:
According to authorities, Ryan Seacrest, a famous celebrity with no discernible talent, was "roughed up" this past weekend by loan sharks who were working in the employ of Satan.

When the media starts asking questions about affairs, guess what te dumbest thing you can do is? As for the celebrity victim thing, think about what you're saying! If the Paparazzi called in a fake fire to get the first pics of her kid last year, where are the pics? They went through all that trouble and didn't even run them? That would have been a great story. "Maggie rescues her own 5 day old baby from burning building". OR even the first photos of Maggie and her baby. But there'snothing like that. And when you call 911 the cops come to the fire too, why didn't they say something then? Why did she wait till the week before her new movie came out? Every once and awhile a celeb gets really stalked, but for the most part it's a part of the game they love.

These guys hang out of their boat from a mile away with telephoto lenses to zoom in on her, and it’s her fault for taking her top off (in the middle of the ocean) and sun bath? I think it's more than a little harsh to say that celebrities deserve this type of treatment. Why is it ok for someone to camp out on your lawn in camouflage gear to get pictures of your children or to call in a fire in your neighborhood to get you to run out with your newborn? Why is it ok for them to be so far away, where you can’t retaliate and still get the big bucks for these pictures?? These people are no better than stalkers and celebrities can do something about stalkers, but not photographers. Yes I understand it's a double edged sword, but when you see video of someone walking out of a club with so many camera flashes going off that they can’t see, it makes you a bit disgusted...
If I went out in the backyard and sunbathed topless, no one would be the wiser, nor would they care (except maybe the jet pilots who get blinded by the flash of light reflecting off me) but because she's a 'celebrity' she gets blasted...

Ali Lohan's Song...it's not that bad!!!
Ali Lohan's song is.....different. I like to hear a different voice, unlike all the "perfect" voices out there. She sounds like the girl next door, which most of us are and do sound like her. =) Most other artists are all about hitting the high notes and making sure they have enough curse words to sound cool. Really Impressed
I was honestly very surprised to see that the blind taste test I heard being advertised was very centrally directed... In all of the subjects, neither answer sounded like the 'wrong' one and it let me see that i was definitely standing with the candidate who's ideals I support, even if I agree with the other on one or two subjects.
I really wish we could see something like this in a flash/click through format. It would be great to be able to link people to a blind test they can do on the fly to see who they really support!

Kelly, I also appreciate all the hard work and research you did on this presidential quiz. I, like your wife, have not really and do not really pay that much attention to the political polls. So I kind of depend on my husband to 'funnel' info to me and then I make my decision. I did end up with a tally of 5-3 which kind of surprised me because a couple of my main issues were in the 3 count! I also did end up based on my choices on issues leaning to vote for who I initially planned. It is hard though because many issues had good responses and some what I call "wishes" because I don't know if they can be accomplished because of the way politics are. Kelly, The Blind Taste Test for the presidential candidates was very eye opening. I knew I sided with McCain in most of the issues but didn't realize that some of the issues I was siding with Obama. Ranking the issues was the key. In the end, I still sided with the Republican party on the 3 most important issues to me!!

Great Show
Okay, so I do not usually post comments about things, but I felt this time I needed to. I have lived in Columbia my whole life, expect for when I went off to college. I am 29 years old and for as long as I can remember Jonathan Rush has been on WNOK. Throughout the years, I would love the Morning Rush and then others, not so much. To be honest, until Kelly Nash came on the show, I tried my best not to listen to the show, I guess I just lost interest. Kelly has made a huge impact on the show, he is so funny, interesting and I guess a real person. He makes a perfect match with Jonathan. I have about a 30 minute drive to work every morning and now I make it a point to turn the radio to the Morning Rush. So, Kudos to Kelly and Jonathan for such a great show, keep up the laughs!

why not have a local music segment?
Have you guys ever thought about promoting more local music? I know as DJ's you probably want to but don't have the power over the programming director (and clear channel) to make it happen. Is anyone aware at WNOK that there is a band which is now based in Mt. Pleasant who's last record reached number 35 on the Billboard top 200 last year (Band Of Horses "Cease To Begin")? The lead singer actually went to Irmo middle and used to call in to the morning rush frequently before reluctantly being dragged by his dad to school. Jonathan probably would recall his antics. I'm just saying, we need to support mom and pop shops, and this is one of them. Maybe you could have a locals spot once a week and just play one song.....you may be able to sell that to the exec's at clear channel. It also may help with ad sales for local clubs-hint hint. Check out the record if you get a second, it's not Fergie but it's great. Sense the sarcasm?

Bagging Pants
I actually have a couple things to say about this issue:
1. I don't like the look, don't think it is cool.
2. I don't believe making fun of someone indirectly is a good idea, if you have something to say have the courage to stand up and say it to their face. Snickering at someone can have a negative effect on ones self esteem.
I have addressed people directly about their pants for ex:
Oh my gosh, look!!! (while pointing to their backside) Did you know your butt fell off!!! Man thats pretty sad when you have to bend over to get into your pocket!!! Hey ya know if ya had a extra hole in that belt your pants wouldn't be down to your knees.
All said with humor and all got the same reaction, they pulled their pants up, while smiling. No Negativity!!!!
3. Why are we addressing only the sagging pants, their have been other manner of dress that should of been addressed, such as women with their thongs pulled up above their to low rider jeans, or perhaps even the shortie shorts that leave nothing to the imagination, or skirts that are so short you can see under without a good stiff wind, not to mention dental floss bathing suits that bare all to our children at beaches and public pools. Why does the government choose to target one group of people and one style of dress...and who says they have the right to set a dress code for us anyway.
4. Government encroachment.....yes!!!! But as long as they are targeting just one group of people I guess we Americans will roll over and let it happen. Beware, the day will come when our government will make a huge decision that will effect each and everyone of us, by then we will be so docile that we will hand over all our civil rights to them on a silver platter.
5. If you really want to "nip it in the bud", don't address the people, address the fashion industry who makes the clothes. You are hard pressed to find a pair of pants for a little girl that don't ride low, including sweat pants or jeans for our boys that aren't 5 times to large in the butt. The clothing being sold is mostly designed with this style in mind. When you want to get to the bottom of something the only place to start is at the top.

I don't frequently stick up for egotistical, over payed public figures like the one's who appear in your "Nash Trash" blog, but where do you get this information? It is rarely cited where you get it. You must know that the majority of it is made up or exaggerated in some way. I think you're falling in line with the majority of mainstream media today, who abuse their power with the US public. I understand your show is in no way news, but I'm sure you know there are a lot of ignorant people who believe whatever they read so I guess what I'm saying is.......do you want to prosper from what may be and probably are lies? I hope not. There are ways to be funny without just ripping off the tabloid headlines from the web. It may be more work but you may also feel better at the end of the day for doing it. I don't usually comment on these type of sites, but I do listen to your morning show sometimes and enjoy it. Therefore, I wanted to let you know how I feel about some of the low brow pieces you do. Constructive criticism.....

I rather like all the stories you post on Amy Winehouse. I use her as a "Do not do drugs or you will look like this" campaign for my children. I have shown pictures to my two sons, 13 and 8, showing Amy Winehouse before drugs and after drugs. I have to say they didn't like the effects drugs can have on your body and the actions you take when you are own durgs. I will use her as an example until they turn 18 and hope it continues to work! No offense to guys but teenage boys are already sex crazed, and compare that to a grown man! I've asked around and the unanimous agreement is that a 20 year old man dating a 16 year old girl is looking for one thing... (Uh hello!) She wants to move into her own place so her bf can come over more often. If they're really that innocent, then why would she want her own place where her parents aren't around? If she wants more time with him, it's called a date! The clothes she wears sometimes has me clicking the x button. If she wants to dress like that, ok but she wears that skimpy stuff at her concerts and there are young girls there who look up to her as a role model(don't know why) and most likely they'll want to ammulate her by dressing the same. She says she wants to be a role model but as what? Please Miley, if you plan to lead young girls, don't lead them straight into a life where they'll be looked at as an easy lay. Being famous, things you do and wear are expected. But real life for these girls is just going to put them in a light that is both wrong and sad. So I think either she cleans up her act or stops aiming her fame towards the young. Whether it's intentional or not, for goodness sakes, she's 16! She should stop trying to grow up so fast. Slow it down, your time will come when people actually look at you as an adult intead of the image you're presenting... slutty.
I'm also questioning whether today's media gives an equal opportunity for fat/ugly jokes when it comes to males... you know the bald, overweight, not-so-good-looking ones that have chosen a career in the public eye?

Casting call to be held for the Motion Picture adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel “Dear John”.

A romantic drama about a soldier who falls in love with a conservative college student while home on leave, “Dear John” will be filmed in the Charleston and Edisto areas.
Actor Channing Tatum will play the character lead of John Tyree. Tatum is known for his roles in “G.I. Joe”, “Stop Loss” ,“She’s the Man” and “Step Up”. Actress Amanda Seyfried of “Mamma Mia!” and “Big Love” will play his love interest, Savannah Curtis.

HI, I consider myself a very openminded gal. (Not that open if you were thinking of anything that should go in the trash column.) I was willing to give the new show a chance before I cast judgment. Now it is time to judge---I DON'T LIKE IT. I tried to sit though the jokes to nowhere and the dead air ( I guess giving us time to laugh at all the "funny" talk.) It was horrible. The last straw was when they began talking about East Carolina. Before "the change" I would listen to wnok to hear Kelly and Rush and switch to B106.7 for the news. My job does not allow me to listen to the radio while I work, so I can only listen during my drive. Well as of tomorrow I will only listen to B106.7. Thanks for making that decision easy! I'll check Trash when I get home.

For the past 3 years I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to Jonathan and Kelly on my morning commute. The fact that the show has been on for so many years is a testament to the shows quality of entertainment. However, I was a huge fan of the Ace & TJ show when it aired a few years ago on another local channel. I was furious, like so many of you, that I couldn't hear their show when they were taken off the air and the station changed to a country format. That is when I started listening to "The Morning Rush". I would have missed so much enjoyment had I not given a new show a chance. I will truely miss Jonathan and wish him the best of luck with his new show, and will miss hearing the banter between him and Kelly. My point being that if you will all just give Ace & TJ a chance I'm sure you will find their show to be great, as well. They are not only outragiously funny but do alot of good things too. Their "Grin Kids" charity is awsome. They do so much to help these children and are a true blessing for doing so. I hate to see Jonathan leave the station but also welcome Ace & TJ back to the area. It's understandable that alot of you are upset by this change. Change is always hard and usually unwelcome, but those of you who chose not to give something new a chance will be missing so much. Open your minds and accept what you cannot change. I promise you will be glad you did!!

Seriously, it's about time for him to go and for something new to come to Columbia. It's not shocking they had to pull from Charlotte. I'm sure this won't last long, South Cackalackiennes generally don't get smart funny or funny period. Too uptight, conservative, tunnel vision, and we still are a good ole boy stay..some have had to go underground but they are still here.

As for the dress that was kicked out of the mall, I have seen shorter skirts worn at school. Not only by students, but by teachers as well. The shirt that shocked me (and it is difficult to shock me) was worn by a parent to school this week.

3) It may be a fact as you put it that Asian people look young. But it's also a fact that the gymnists in question had their birth records destroyed after questions were raised by the Americans, last year. The reason the questions were raised is all the promotional material had these girls listed as 12 and 13 years old, and suddenly they were being put in the olympics. The Chinese governement issued passports that say they're 16 and no one is to question that.
4) I don't know anyone who has ever brushed off any olympic violence. And I don't think Western media is focusing one the one murder that happened at the Chinese games. I have heard very little of it mentioned, but rather what a great job they have done hosting. For you to say the American media portrays life as perfect in the west is insane. Our media is filled with stories of how bad we are. We're responsible for everything from global warming to school shootings. We are a self loathing media that props up European & just about any other civilized culture as better than ours.
5) Again the world has given much props to the people who put on an incredible show. The beef isn't with the people of China but rather their leaders who hope that by putting on a perfect face the world will forget how evil they really are. Now it's just comical how far they go to look perfect.
6) If telling the 7 year old girl she wasn't pretty enough to sing is the only thing China has done wrong then you ought to move back there. Most Americans are disgusted by their slaughter of approxiamtly 2000 civilians at Tiananmen Square. Their persecution of any religous activity. The poor people of the Falun Gong religion who were sent to labor camps and then used as an organ farm is one of the grossest things I've ever read. The "Chinese Aparitheid" in Tibet which killed over one million Tibetans, and then moved 6 million Chinese there to basically rule over the surviving Tibetans who are now minorities. And don't forget their assistance to the governenment of the Sudan in their genocide of the people in Darfur. I mean that's just some of the things I, and most westerners have a problem with China for. We can actually get over the 7 year old girl being sent home thing by comparison. 3. It is a known fact that Asian people are known for looking young by American standards. It does not mean they are lying. It just means we need to adjust our standard when viewing Asians. I am 27 and look 17, but it doesn't mean I lie about my age.
4. The western media focused one stupid Chinese guy who stabbed an Americans. All the while it portraits America and Western culture as prefect. Last I check there were bombing in Atlanta and Barcelona, with a massacre in Munich. That part is just brushed off as saying it is the wrong doing of one person/group instead of the country as a whole.

If the Paparazzi called in a fake fire to get the first pics of her kid last year, where are the pics? They went through all that trouble and didn't even run them? That would have been a great story. "Maggie rescues her own 5 day old baby from burning building". OR even the first photos of Maggie and her baby. But there'snothing like that. And when you call 911 the cops come to the fire too, why didn't they say something then? Why did she wait till the week before her new movie came out? Every once and awhile a celeb gets really stalked, but for the most part it's a part of the game they love.

I think it's more than a little harsh to say that celebrities deserve this type of treatment. I also appreciate all the hard work and research you did on this presidential quiz. I, like your wife, have not really and do not really pay that much attention to the political polls. So I kind of depend on my husband to 'funnel' info to me and then I make my decision. I did end up with a tally of 5-3 which kind of surprised me because a couple of my main issues were in the 3 count! I also did end up based on my choices on issues leaning to vote for who I initially planned.
It is hard though because many issues had good responses and some what I call "wishes" because I don't know if they can be accomplished because of the way politics are. BUT I appreciate your making my decision much easier!

The Blind Taste Test for the presidential candidates was very eye opening. I knew I sided with McCain in most of the issues but didn't realize that some of the issues I was siding with Obama. Ranking the issues was the key. In the end, I still sided with the Republican party on the 3 most important issues to me!!
I missed your laugh in the morning last week! I liked some of the best of stuff, but I listen so much I've heard it all before. Granted there was some stuff that I loved hearing again. I did not hold hands with that woman, Ms Siegel. Not once! This is another example of the vast right wing conspiracy along with the help of the vast Obama conspiracy to smear my good name. Obviously the photographers positioned themselves in a way that the picture would make it appear that we were holding hands when in fact we were not. It also appears that I'm slapping the bodyguard in the face, but because that's not scandelous enough they have to create this ridiculous rumor. Now I have to get back to the business of....well I've got a very important meeting with Ms Siegel in the rest room of the plane back to the states and I hope no one tries to read in to that!

1. I don't like the look, don't think it is cool.
2. I don't believe making fun of someone indirectly is a good idea, if you have something to say have the courage to stand up and say it to their face. Snickering at someone can have a negative
effect on ones self esteem.
I have addressed people directly about their pants for ex:
Oh my gosh, look!!! (while pointing to their backside) Did you know your butt fell off!!!

Hey ya know if ya had a extra hole in that belt your pants wouldn't be down to your knees.
All said with humor and all got the same reaction, they pulled their pants up, while smiling. No Negativity!!!!
3. Why are we addressing only the sagging pants, their have been other manner of dress that should of been addressed, such as women with their thongs pulled up above their to low rider jeans, or perhaps even the shortie shorts that leave nothing to the imagination, or skirts that are so short you can see under without a good stiff wind, not to mention dental floss bathing suits that bare all to our children at beaches and public pools. Why does the government choose to target one group of people and one style of dress...and who says they have the right to set a dress code for us anyway.
4. Government encroachment.....yes!!!! But as long as they are targeting just one group of people I guess we Americans will roll over and let it happen. Beware, the day will come when our government will make a huge decision that will effect each and everyone of us, by then we will be so docile that we will hand over all our civil rights to them on a silver platter.
5. If you really want to "nip it in the bud", don't address the people, address the fashion industry who makes the clothes. You are hard pressed to find a pair of pants for a little girl that don't ride low, including sweat pants or jeans for our boys that aren't 5 times to large in the butt. The clothing being sold is mostly designed with this style in mind. When you want to get to the bottom of something the only place to start is at the top.
