Perez Hilton -- So much for not giving up "any money for these ridiculous and false claims."
Although his lawyer Marty Singer said John Travolta will never settle with any of the various men accusing him of sexual misconduct, sources say that is exactly what the actor is doing with one accuser.
In fact, someone close to the situation believes that Travolta has almost reached a deal with the man out of court, explaining:
"John Travolta's lawyer is currently in settlement talks with one of the accusers. The goal is to have a settlement reached very quietly and quickly because John just wants this scandal to go away. No money has been paid yet, but it's almost a done deal. It will be an out of court settlement and John Travolta's name won't even be in the agreement to ensure complete confidentiality, along with a clause that states if the man ever goes public with his story, he will be sued for at least twice the amount of the settlement."
Well, it's not that confidential anymore! LOLz!
If Travolta and Singer aren't able to produce a figure large enough to properly pay for the alleged victim's silence, the anonymous man is still ready to sue. The source continued:
"If the accuser who is in talks with John's lawyer right now is unable to reach a settlement, he is absolutely prepared to file a lawsuit against him. The man isn't intimidated by John's celebrity status and just wants the actor to be held accountable for his actions."
So Travolta may be close to getting one angry guy off of his back, but he's still got six more who have come forward over the last few weeks.
We'd like to learn the truth about this sex scandal, so we kinda hope at least one of these guys takes a claim to court.
Memorial Day is coming up, which is when most people break out their backyard grills for summer cookouts.
A survey by the Weber grill company found that 71% of Americans plan to cook out on Memorial Day. That's a lot, but it's only the THIRD-most-popular grilling holiday.
The Fourth of July is the most-popular, with 90% of people grilling. And 76% of people say they cook out to celebrate birthdays. Memorial Day finished ahead of Father's Day, with only 53% of people cooking out for dad.
71% of Americans own a grill, and three quarters of them cook out at least once a week. Hamburgers are the most-popular food to grill, followed by chicken and steak. (PR Newswire)
Women are less likely than men to cheat. But when women DO pull the trigger . . . they're going to make sure they take a nice, full swing at adultery.
A new survey found that female cheaters have affairs with more people than men. The average female cheater has sex with 2.3 people outside of marriage . . . the average male cheater has sex with 1.8.
And that's not the only big difference between female cheaters and male cheaters. The survey also found . . .
Women are far more likely to FALL IN LOVE with someone during an affair than men.
Women cheat EARLIER in a marriage. The average woman who cheats does it after five years, the average man does it after six.
Women start cheating younger than men. The average age of a woman having an affair is 37 . . . for men it's 42. (Daily Mail)
On Saturday night, police in Carmel, Indiana raided a bar and restaurant called the Double Apple Lounge that had a reputation for serving minors.
When they got there, they didn't find any minors at first. But that's only because of the bar owner's GENIUS PLAN.
As the cops were approaching, the owner knew there were three underage girls drinking there . . . ages 15, 19, and 20. So he told them to RUN into the kitchen and PRETEND TO BE COOKS.
And this plan MIGHT'VE worked . . . only the three girls couldn't figure out how to turn on the grill. So when the cops went into the kitchen, they found three underage women who weren't dressed like cooks pretending to cook on a cold grill.
The bar is facing 16 charges, including selling alcohol to minors and hindering law enforcement. Each of the girls were also cited for being in a bar and illegal consumption of alcohol. This is the second raid on the bar this year. (CBS 18 - West Lafayette, Indiana)
Want to confront your husband because you think he's cheating on you? You should know this going in. There are TWO WORDS he might say that are the single biggest giveaway that, yes, he's having an affair.
And they are . . . "You're crazy."
If you accuse someone who's not cheating, he'll be hurt and mad . . . but his instinct won't be to say you're crazy. His instinct will be to figure out why you thought he was cheating and reassure you that he's faithful.
When someone IS cheating, they want to make you doubt YOURSELF instead. So by saying "you're crazy" over and over, they're trying to make you question your own judgment. (Yahoo Shine)
According to a new survey, the average woman checks out her reflection EIGHT TIMES a day. That averages out to about once every two hours she's awake. Which really doesn't seem that high.
It doesn't always happen in mirrors, either. The average woman says she regularly checks her reflection in store windows, car mirrors, other people's glasses, and her phone's screen.
40% of women surveyed say one of the reasons they look at themselves in different mirrors is because the way they look depends on the surface.
The survey also found 10% of women touch up their makeup at least three times a day and 20% redo their hair at least four times. (Daily Mail)
We're STILL talking about the TANNING MOM. If you haven't followed her, 44-year-old Patricia Krentcil of Nutley, New Jersey is WAY too tan, and has become famous after allegedly taking her five-year-old tanning.
Yesterday, a paparazzi cameraman asked her if she'd be interested in doing "Playboy". She laughed and said yes and she did some fake poses.
"Playboy" saw that as a prime opportunity to rip on her. So yesterday afternoon, a source from "Playboy" told TMZ that, "It wouldn't even be considered" because the Tanning Mom just isn't "Playboy" material. (TMZ)
There are a million reasons why TRAMPOLINES are just BEGGING your kids to hurt themselves. WELL . . . it's about time a family's trampoline actually SAVED their kids from getting hurt.
On Saturday night, 31-year-old Craig Jackson of Burton, in Staffordshire, England, was home with his wife and his three kids . . . ages six, five, and one . . . when his house caught on fire because of an electrical problem.
All five of them were trapped upstairs. The window was too high for any of them to jump from except for Craig. But fortunately, they had a TRAMPOLINE.
First Craig jumped out . . . he says he probably would've been hurt if he hadn't had so much adrenaline. Then he pulled his sons' trampoline under the bedroom window and, one-by-one, the family jumped down and bounced to safety.
The worst injury any of them suffered was a few bruises and cuts. (Daily Mirror)
