Odds are you've never heard of Keota, which is a town of 1,009 people in southeast Iowa.  But if you go there, apparently everyone's going to say hello.

A marketing firm called Pyco just released the results of a study on the most OUTGOING cities in the U.S.  And Keota, Iowa came in number one.

The rankings are based on things like personality tests, psychological well-being, participation in community groups and local activities . . . and some other proprietary criteria that Pyco isn't releasing.

The average U.S. city was 52% extroverted.  Keota got a 61.6%.  In general, small towns did better than big cities, and cities east of Texas did better than cities in the west.  The rest of the top 10 most outgoing cities are:

Manchester, New York . . . Carolina Shores, North Carolina . . . La Grange, Missouri . . . Hampshire, Texas . . . Rosston, Arkansas . . . Westhampton, Massachusetts . . . Worthington, Kentucky . . . Moulton, Texas . . . and Helenville, Wisconsin.  (Des Moines Register)
