Archie fans rejoice! David Archuleta will be making sweet music.

The 17-year-old American Idol runner-up scored a record deal with 19 Recordings/Jive Records, the same label as winner David Cook.

"Signing a record contract with 19 Recordings/Jive Records is truly a dream come true," he said in a statement. "

"Being a fan of American Idol since season one and admiring the alumni, I am honored and humbled to be a part of that group. I'm really excited to start working on everything."

The album is due out later this year. The American Idol tour kicks off July 1.

Clay Aiken and producer-friend Jaymes Foster are expecting a child.

The Insider confirmed the news with a rep for Foster.

"By the way she looks great, glowing and very happy," the rep says. "She and Clay have been good friends for a long time."

Clay, 29, will have an active role in raising the child.
